DETHKLOK - The Real Band

STORY TIME!

So I did a big photoshoot with Dethklok in Albany last year, and it was the ONLY - EVER - group photo shoot with the actual band - EVER!!!

I was under specific orders to make them very dark (so i went with back lighting) so their faces wouldnt be very visable.

The creators of Dethklok are very weary to do anything that takes away from the cartoon embodiment of the band, so this shoot was a very big deal to everyone involved.

This was the ONLY photo from the shoot that was approved by the band.

The shoot was for outburn magazine, but they replaced all the images with the cartoon (damn it!) so I wasnt sure if this image was ever going to see the light of day in print.

Also because this photo shoot, the approval proccess, etc was such a big "to-do" I strongly doubt they will be doing any other group shoots, maybe ever? we'll see

Because it probably wont, (aside from live shots) I figured id post it here.

Its not my favorite shot of the set, but I had very little say over whats available for people to view, and this happens to be the one everyone is into. so... enjoy.
